Loved by all my cousins and myself… This chocolate covered toffee is always a great afternoon treat.

Ingredienti:

  • 400g caster sugar
  • 200g soft brown sugar
  • 350g golden syrup
  • 250ml evaporated milk
  • 475ml whipping cream
  • 250g butter
  • 100g milk chocolate, melted

Preparazione:

1In a medium pot, combine the sugar, brown sugar, golden syrup, milk, cream and butter. When its at 120 degrees C according to a sugar thermometer, remove from the heat.

2Stir in the vanilla and transfer to a greased/lined baking tray to cool completely. Then cut the toffee into squares.

3Melt the chocolate in a bowl and cool slightly. Dip the toffee into the chocolate using a fork; and place back on greaseproof paper.

4Put it in the fridge for the chocolate to set.

5Either wrap for friends and family, or enjoy it all for yourself.
